Description

Dazzling fuchsia blooms carried daintily on long thin stems grace this smaller vine.  The pink, reflexed petals look like they are wearing a purple crown when the flowers are fully open. These brilliantly colored flowers stand out particularly well against the very dark, rich green foliage.  This foliage is unusual in that it adds a pop of color to the plant by itself. If you turn over these glossy leaves you will be surprised by a rich reddish purple underside. For this reason containers and hanging baskets are the best way to showcase Passiflora ‘Thuraia’. For an extra pop of color on your patio, try planting this with Passiflora citrina.

You should plant this vine in full sun for best performance. Additionally as it is a true tropical plant, you should bring it indoors before it starts getting cold in the fall.

For each item added to cart, you will receive 1 starter plant in a 2.5” pot. A photo example of the starter plants we ship can be found on our Ordering and Shipping FAQ page. The plants are well rooted and are ready to be potted into a larger container.

For those interested, Passiflora ‘Thuraia’ is P. kermesina x P. miersii.

Hardiness Zone: 10

What does hardiness zone 10 mean?

It means that this Passiflora is not cold tolerant and requires protection from freezing temperatures. If you are growing it outdoors, bring it inside once temperatures start regularly dipping below 50 degrees. Freezing temperatures will kill it.
