Description
Passiflora ‘Raspberries & Cream’ has medium sized light pink flowers with white filaments. They look similar to Passiflora ‘Anastasia’, however they are smaller and more delicate looking. This vigorous vine has 3 lobed light green leaves and is suitable for growing in a container or covering a fence. This vine is best grown in cooler locations, so it may be a good choice as a summer annual for northern gardeners. If you wish to grow this vine in the hot south, then it needs to be grown in partial shade as it struggles with the heat. In a full sun location in our zone 8 garden, its flowers only open briefly in the morning and close before mid-day when it gets hot mid summer.
In most places you should plant it in full sun. However, in hot climates needs to have some afternoon shade.
For each item added to cart, you will receive 1 starter plant in a 2.5” pot. A photo example of the starter plants we ship can be found on our Ordering and Shipping FAQ page. The plants are well rooted and are ready to be potted into a larger container.
For those interested, Passiflora ‘Raspberries & Cream’ is P. subpeltata x P. gritensis. It is Roland Fischer & Mark Coopers hybrid.
Hardiness Zone: 10
What does hardiness zone 10 mean?
It means that this Passiflora is not cold tolerant and require protection from freezing temperatures. If you are growing it outdoors, bring it inside once temperatures start regularly dipping below 50 degrees. Freezing temperatures will kill it.
