Description
Very large vine which produces small reddish-pink blooms with yellow centers. While the flowers are smaller than many Passiflora, don’t discount this plant. The blooms are unique and plentiful. Flowers are often produced in waves throughout the summer season. The blooms sit atop each leaf, and have somewhat crinkly petals and short filaments. Lush lime green leaves with 2 lobes, give the plant the common name ‘batwing passion flower’. This vine is very vigorous and has attractive dark purplish stems. Because of its size, vigor and attractive foliage, it makes an excellent screening plant. It will perform equally as well in a container as it does planted in the ground.
You should plant it in full sun. Partial shade will also produce an attractive plant, however blooms will be reduced.

For those interested, Passiflora ‘Fledermouse’ is P. biflora x P. perfoliata, and is Patrick Worley’s hybrid. It is sometimes also spelled ‘Fledermaus’
Hardiness Zone: 10
What does hardiness zone 10 mean?
It means that this Passiflora is not cold tolerant and requires protection from freezing temperatures. If you are growing it outdoors, bring it inside once temperatures start regularly dipping below 50 degrees. Freezing temperatures will kill it.
