Description
This variety boasts large flowers with stunning pure white petals that are topped with many richly colored, deep purple filaments. It blooms well in cool spring and fall temperatures when many other plants are dormant. The cool temperatures actually make the flower colors seem super saturated. Passiflora ‘Indigo Dream’ is a vigorous vine with very attractive lime green multi-lobed leaves. While this vine is vigorous and easy to grow, it is also very easy to keep to a manageable size making it perfect for that accent container on your patio.
In most places you should plant it in full sun. However, in hot climates it would prefer to have some afternoon shade.
For each item added to your cart, you will receive 1 starter plant in a 2.5” pot. A photo example of the starter plants we ship can be found on our Ordering and Shipping FAQ page. The plants are well rooted and are ready to be potted into a larger container.
For those interested, Passiflora ‘Indigo Dream’ is P. ‘Incense’ x P. caerulea. Patrick Worley and Rick McCain’s hybrid.
Hardiness Zone: 10
What does hardiness zone 10 mean?
It means that this Passiflora is not cold tolerant and requires protection from freezing temperatures. If you are growing it outdoors, bring it inside once it starts to freeze. This variety will tolerate temperatures down to about freezing, but prolonged cold temperatures will kill it.
